This excellent Focus issue in Nature Methods brings together expert opinions on exciting future directions for bioimage analysis with contributions from a number of BINA Image Informatics Working Group members. It is a must read!
A cross working group effort spearheaded by Beth Cimini in BINA’s Image Informatics working group and including a number of members of BINA’s Training and Education Working Group and other community stakeholders has produced this user friendly and beautifully illustrated guide to planning and performing quantitative bioimaging experiments. BINA is piloting an AV Suitcase, spearheaded by the Image Informatics WG, for the production of high-quality tutorial videos around microscopy and image informatics topics. Recommended equipment for this project, compiled by Bryan Millis, is available for the community and continually being updated based on the pilot phase of this project.
