BINA’s 2025 Community Congress will be held jointly with the Global Bioimaging Exchange of Experience 2025 hosted by Canada BioImaging, as part of Imaging in 2035: Sustaining Infrastructure Ecosystems & Advanced Technologies.

These back-to-back events will bring the global imaging community together to shape the future of imaging science and technology, as we consider where Imaging will be in 10 years. GBIxBINA2025 combines the strengths of Global BioImaging (GBI) and BioImaging North America (BINA) to explore cutting-edge advancements and strategic visions for the sustainable development of imaging infrastructures.

Call for Abstracts

We invite you to submit an abstract for the joint GBIxBINA 2025 events, or for either of the individual events—Global BioImaging (GBI) and BioImaging North America (BINA)—depending on your area of focus and participation.

This year’s event highlights two complementary themes:

• Sustaining Imaging Infrastructures, Networks, and Facilities(GBI focus)
• Advanced Imaging Technologies and Scientific Applications(BINA focus)

Whether you are joining one or both parts of the event, we encourage abstract submissions that align with the shared mission of advancing imaging science and technology.

Submission Categories

Participants may submit abstracts that fall under one of two broad themes:

1. Scientific Research (BINA Community Congress)
   Abstracts with a focus on imaging-based scientific discoveries, novel imaging methodologies, or technological innovation are welcome.
2. Imaging Community & Infrastructure (GBI)
   We are particularly interested in abstracts related to:

• Imaging communities and networks
• Facility achievements, services, and impact measurement
• Career progression and recognition of imaging scientists
• Science policy and strategic development
• Training programs and course models
• Collaborative or cross-institutional initiatives
• Industry-academia partnerships
• Acknowledgement campaigns and sustainability models

We welcome content spanning all scales and modalities of imaging – from microscopy to preclinical and clinical imaging, and from simple tools to complex, cutting-edge technologies.

Word limit: 250 words maximum

Submission Deadline: June 25, 2025

Presentation Types: Selected abstracts may be invited for oral presentations or posters, depending on the program alignment.

Format: Hybrid (Virtual and In-person)
Location for virtual: Zoom Meetings (link to be shared 2 weeks in advance of the event)
In person Location: Delta Hotel Conference Center, 475 Av. du Président-Kennedy, Montréal, QC H3A 1J7, Canada.

Registration Fees: The in-person registration fees will include lunches, morning and afternoon breaks and the conference dinner. Details of in-person registration fees available below.

There will be no fee to participate virtually but registration will be required nevertheless. Register here or in the side bar to the right!

Accommodation

HOTEL INFORMATION: Delta Hotels Conference Center, 475 Av. du Président-Kennedy, Montréal, QC H3A 1J7, Canada.

Accommodation is not included in the registration fee and should be made separately by each in-person registrant to receive the DISCOUNTED CONFERENCE RATE. ~$245 CAD per night (not including taxes). Please note, credit card information will be required to secure the hotel room booking, but your card will not be charged at the time of booking.
